Re.Connect
-------------------------------------------
To mend an old jumper I have from my grandma, which has big sentimental value to me.

Using simple mending with thread to give the jumper a new life. Inspired by the designs given to me by those I reach out to.

Their input into whatever shape or image they choose with my skills to mending them into my Jumper.
Connect through a video call.
See each other. Talk together. Mend what has been lost over distance in time.

COLOUR
Question to The person on the other side of the phone I call:
WHAT COLOUR WOULD YOU USE TO REPRESENT OUR RELATIONSHIP?
I WILL USE THE COLOUR THEY CHOSE FOR THE THREAD WITH THE IMAGE\SHAPE THEY GIVE ME TO MEND MY OLD JUMPER
I have moved away from my family. Started my own life. Called less and less. Life got more and more busy. I found my new space.

My most lost connections are with my closest family:

Parents
Two brothers
Why more thank one person? not too much to mend?
NO. Before moving to the Netherlands these people i have spent close to everyday with to what feels like suddenly not talking with for weeks. Not seeing for months.

I miss the time with them.
Do we uncunciously pick a colour that connects to our emotions?
I want to not only reach out to those I miss and need to mend with but also to create something together. To collaborate over distance to mend those lost connections and moments we used to spend together.

To together think about about something. Connect on a design.

To look forward to something, a new jumper in this case.

To create something together.
OR
With colour would you describe your feeling right now during this call?

Video Call throuhg facetime, skype
Since im calling my family to mend through a video call, Why not creat/stage a video call as a platform to present my work, as though when watching you feel as though you are in the video.
Viewning the video makes you feel the distance of the family.

Feel the virtual connection
How will it be
